Licensed!!

Well, watch out! As of yesterday, I am licensed to drive! After a long waiting period, as I was on ‘standby’ for my road test at the DMV, a grueling (not really) road test, and, may I say a PERFECT TEXTBOOK parallel parking job (thankyew!!) I passed with a 90%!! The parking was perfect, but ahem, I forgot to signal. Alas.
I didn’t signal as I was practicing for 3 hours in a parking lot, so it wasn’t a habit at that time. But, when I parallel park ‘for real’ (if I EVER do) I will remember to signal.
I was just kidding about the ‘Watch out’ part too, I am a good, ultra-defensive driver.
The waiting was the most grueling, and it wasn’t even that bad. The woman next to us was sitting there for a long time, with registration and insurance in hand, so I asked her, “Are you waiting for your road test?”
“Yeah, I was here ALL DAY yesterday too. I’m on standby. They just didn’t get to me yesterday, and they say there are no gaurentees.” I nodded in sympathy, hoping that that wouldn’t be me, and offered her a magazine. About 5 they called her name. Well, she tossed the magazine on the table and flew up there. HA! I’d never seen anyone move so fast! They called my name soon after and we both passed.

I am so excited about having a license! I haven’t had one in 7 years! I know it’s a bad idea to post a picture of it on the net, so I made a virtual duplicate of it for you all to look at, so you can share in my excitement. (more…)

SIRIUS Christmas

As an amazing surprise, Ben has gotten me a Sirius radio system for Christmas! I can continue making jewelry to the Howard Stern Show!! YAY!! I can’t wait for the Jan. 9th! But, in the mean time, uninterrupted music of all kinds. What more can you ask for. Yes, O&A, Sirius may have ‘put it all in ONE basket’ but what a basket!

Priceless Christmas

My best gift was the one from my mom. She spent Days and DAYS making these. One for each of us (my 2 bros and me). These are photo albums (with some scrapbooking detail) of our lives. They start with pictures of our great-great grandparents, on both sides, and mine ends when I turned 5, with a big TO BE CONTINUED at the end. This book is priceless, with pictures documenting all Christmas’, birthdays, Easters, and ‘everyday’ events. My mom RULES!!

Thank you mom!
